Medicinal plants have been used in all cultures throughout history. Extensive scientific documentation now exists concerning their use for health conditions including many disorders. WHO records the fact that majority of world's population relies on botanical medicines (Bulletin of the WHO, 1985; Miller et al, 2004). Medicinal plants have been used in various traditional systems against numerous diseases. Many indigenous Indian plants have been found to be useful to manage the many disorder. Such medicinal plants are selected in this investigation for many activities which contains various biologically active ingredients like alkaloids, glycosides, terpenoids, proteins, steroids. In India, drugs of herbal origin have been used in traditional systems of medicines such as Unani and Ayurveda since ancient times. The Ayurveda system of medicine uses about 700 species, Unani 700, Siddha 600, Amchi 600 and modern medicine around 30 species. This book deals with Medicinal plant specially origin from India as well as Phytochemical Screening.
