We live in a universe that can be best described as change personified. Nothing stands still. Everything changes Unfortunately most humans resist change for two main reasons: Our genes are still set up to reflect a much more primitive reality, where a tiger could really be looking at as a possible lunch. Although our societies do not normally allow that to be a serious threat, genes change slowly unless we look into our subconscious minds and change our defaults. The second reason for our trying to live in an unchanging state is that we have been taught, by almost all of society, to live in Fear, so that others can control us. Change is scary if you are still just surviving in the Fear mode. There are ways to change our default ways of reacting to things like the processes of change. We are not usually taught them, although the subset of humans who are living in Love, instead of surviving in Fear, have learned those lessons well enough that they seldom react in the Fear set of thoughts and emotions, at least for more than a few seconds. We can learn to follow them and our reactions can be slowly changed. This move is slow by our conscious standards but unbelievably quick by genetic standards. When we have completed that process, described in this book, we can choose to change how we live with greater ease. A society set up, from almost all directions, to allow those who lead because they have money, things and power, yet are still fearful themselves, want to control everything and everyone around themselves. Some of our leaders are Not like that, but most are. Since societies teach us to survive in Fear, instead of living in Love, we have a second set of changes that we must make before we can be truly free. This, too, is not only possible but virtually demanded by those of us who recognize that we are destined to grow in spiritual power, towards our Divine Creator (you can assign a name if you wish to do so). Since there are moves afoot which support the evolution of humans from the thinking but fearful Homo sapiens, into the loving Homo spiritus, we have leaders who have significantly changed the way that they live, think feel and believe. It is always easier to follow than to blaze new trails. With gratitude to those who have gone before, now is the time for us to successfully change our lives, going from surviving in Fear to living in Love. Living in Love is wonderful
