Korean American theologian, Jung Young Leeconstructed a theology based on an East Asianworldview represented by the Book of Changes. Histheology is deconstructive in his critique on thefoundation of Western theologies, revisionist byproposing a paradigm-shift for doing theology, andautobiographical in his theological method. Thesefeatures show postmodernity which embraces and goes toward otherness. He counters the Westerntheological focus on impassibility, immutability, andcenterality by giving priority to suffering, change,and marginality. Lee''s theology is his spiritualjourney to rediscover the harmony and depth of Asianculture and spirituality and intellectual quest toreformulate Christian thinking in the context ofpostmodernity and World Christianity. His theology isa construction in a deconstructive age, developed ina systematic fashion. This book uses Lee''s theologyas the catalyst to project a cosmological andecological vision for theological construction, whichis open-ended, eschatological, and ecumenical.
