Notă biografică
Elias Sverkos, Ph.D. (1997), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, is an Associate Professor at that university. His main research interests concern the social and political history of Greek cities (especially of Macedonia) during the Hellenistic and Imperial times. He has published books and articles on the Roman institutions in the eastern Mediterranean, Roman prosopography and onomastics, and Greek and Latin epigraphy.
Georgios Tsolakis is a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World, New York University. He is working on his dissertation “Ancestors and Family Traditions in Hellenistic and Imperial Polis” where he is examining how, when, and why the Greeks were referring to their ancestral and familial past. Tsolakis has held an Onassis Foundation - Scholarship and a NYU Digital Humanities Graduate Student Summer Fellowship; he has received the Géza Alföldy Stipend 2016/17 by the Association Internationale d’Épigraphie Grecque et Latine.
