Mapp v. Ohio, the case that allows many criminals to go free because evidence is excluded, came to the Supreme Court as an obscenity case with no mention of evidentiary problems. The case that allows people to use the f-word anywhere, anytime was decided because post office customers didn't attack a young man wearing a jacket with the word printed on it.
