Turning Nightmares into Dreams "Please, someone help me Someone save me " I cried. But no one came to rescue me because the screams were in my head. I called out into the darkness again twenty years later, on a very lonely, desperate road. No mortal being was there to rescue me then either. The darkest moments in our lives are generally faced alone; no one can save us in those moments but God and ourselves. But God does place people in our lives to support us on our journeys through the dark times. I share my story in this book to do just that-help people on their own journeys of darkness. I survived rape, a downward spiral from that, and the inability to accept my dad's tragic and sudden death, which ultimately led me to an attempted suicide. I was able to step out of my darkness because of five elements in my life. Woven together, they allowed me to survive the nightmares and turn them into something good. Through my story, I hope to tell others how to weave these five elements into their lives to face the demons in their own nightmares, conquer them, and thrive emotionally, spiritually, and physically in spite of them.
