Sweet Emily follows the personal and professional life of Dallas Police Detective Mike Palotti as he serves as the lead investigator in a serial murder case. Joined by the FBI in his pursuit of the killer, or killers,Detective Palotti follows the murdererʼs trail to another episode of serial murders in Tulsa, Oklahoma.The Tulsa detectives join in their pursuit of what is dubbed an"alphabet" killer. He retired as Deputy Chief from that department to accept a position in Texas as Chief of Police,Lubbock, Texas Police Department. Chief Nichols later retired from municipal policing to accept the challenges of a rapidly changing society by establishing the Lubbock School District Police Department.
