Sylvie has always had an explorer's heart and an adventurer's soul. She dreams of climbing the tallest of trees and bathing in undiscovered lakes. She imagines meeting humans, trading with dwarfs, and talking to the birds. The only problem with all of this is that Sylvie lives in Shelter, a large elven community in the heart of the Tantegol forest. Shelter is an amazing place where the Elveen, or young elves, are born and raised. Shelter is where these Elveen are schooled in reading, math, archery, swordplay, and magic. Shelter is a place that gives Sylvie everything that she needs and almost everything that she could want. There is only one simple rule that the Elveen must follow to survive in Shelter. No Elveen may go beyond its borders. Sylvie has always wondered what it would be like outside of her home. She has never wandered outside of its boundaries... Until now. This story tells the tale of Sylvie and her friends as they learn what real adventure, excitement, and danger are for the first time in their lives. This begins their long journey through the Tantegol forest and beyond.
