The goat, popularly called as poor man's cow plays a vital role in rural economy of Indian sub-continent. Among various reproductive techniques, oestrus synchronization is a highly useful reproductive managemental tool to augment fertility and fecundity in goats. This book, a part of MVSc thesis explores the possibilities of uses of FGA, MAP intra-vaginal sponges and CIDR device for the induction of oestrus and subsequent fertility after natural mating or A.I. with frozen semen in goats. Dr.M.Selvaraju, PhD, Associate Professor in Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, India, has more than 18 years of experience in animal reproduction. He teaches theriogenology to the students of Veterinary Science. He has published many articles in journals of repute. His current area of research is Assisted Reproduction in bovines.
