Tanar of Pellucidar

Autor Edgar Rice Burroughs
en Limba Engleză Paperback
The further adventures of David Innes and Abner Perry at the Earth's core. By means of radio, Burroughs has learned of new developments about the capture of Tanar the Fleet One by the piratical Korsars, together with picturesque details about the lovely Stellara of the Island of Amiocap, Bohar the Bloody, and others, as well as reptilian monsters. The cyclone pace of the narrative, the tingling beauty of the love story, the exotic fascination of the Pellucidarian background, the breathless, suspended-climax situations, make this an absorbing novel. From ERBville Press.

Notă biografică

Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875 - 1950) was an American writer best known for his creations of the jungle hero Tarzan and the heroic Mars adventurer John Carter, although he produced works in many genres. Burroughs was in his late 60s and was in Honolulu at the time of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Despite his age, he applied for and received permission to become a war correspondent, becoming one of the oldest U.S. war correspondents during World War II. This period of his life is mentioned in William Brinkley's bestselling novel Don't Go Near the Water.
