Jan Bender Shetler, Ph.D. (1998) at the University of Florida, is Assistant Professor of History at Goshen College, Indiana. Her dissertation, The Landscapes of Memory: A History of Social Identity in the Western Serengeti, Tanzania is based on research in oral traditions of the precolonial period.
