"The will of God should set us free." Sr. Ilia Delio Most of us have on more than one occasion wanted a billboard sign from God telling us which direction to take in life. Can spending ten evenings with God take the frustration and panic out of life's decisions? Sr. Ilia Delio shows us that it can. Like Paul, we want to do God's will, but find maybe more often than we want to admit that we do just the opposite. Sometimes the gift of free will does not seem like God has done us a favor. Knowing which job to take, when to get married, or which medical treatment will cure our loved one, would all be so much easier if God's will were less mysterious. Yet, we believe that being able to choose freely whether to love God or to do our own thing is a precious gift. And we desire to do God's will. "While the amazing mystery of God is beyond our human comprehension, it is not out of our spiritual reach," Sr. Ilia assures us in 10 Evenings With God. To seek God's will means we must get to know God. Ten evenings. Ten short chapters, with guiding questions to reflect upon our relationship with God at the end of each one. The insights Sr. Ilia presents will amaze you. But spending time with God should be amazing. Tap into the amazing grace and be set free to choose, to follow God's will, and live life abundantly.
