Recenzii

This is a comprehensive introductory sociology text that covers all the key topics needed to give students a broad understanding of the field. It presents key theories and provides contemporary examples of research. It brings in different voices in a way that a standard textbook does not.
The Food for Thought" feature is fantastic. I have had students tell me they liked these a lot. As an introductory textbook, Ten Lessons has several advantages.
This brief book is more focused and less dry than standard introductory textbooks and should promote reflexive and analytical thought more successfully than traditional texts.
