Ten Thousand Skies Above You: Firebird, cartea 2
Autor Claudia Grayen Limba Engleză Paperback – 31 oct 2016 – vârsta de la 14 ani
Ever since she used the Firebird, her parents' invention, to cross through to alternate dimensions, Marguerite has caught the attention of enemies who will do anything to force her into helping them dominate the multiverse—even hurt the people she loves. She resists until her boyfriend, Paul, is attacked, and his consciousness is scattered across multiple dimensions.
The hunt for each splinter of Paul's soul sends Marguerite racing through a war-torn San Francisco, the criminal underworld of New York City, and a glittering Paris, where another Marguerite hides a shocking secret. Each dimension brings Marguerite one step closer to rescuing Paul. But with every trial she faces, she begins to question the one constant she's found between the worlds: their love for each other.

Ana Margulescu a dat nota:
I am mentally connected to all the worlds that are presented in this trilogy. I was really happy when i received my second book of Firebird trilogy. The story continues with Marguerite being in Rome, later-on being named Romevers. Her adventure doesn't stop here because she has to rescue Paul's splitted soul. She puts herself in a big danger when she decides to travel to San Francisco for having dinner with Romevers Paul, trying to seduce him for getting the part that she needs. But, Paul realises that the Marguerite he met isn't actually his Marguerite and he takes away her firebird, bringing more trouble that she actually had. After that, the New York version takes place in her adventure. More exactly, Times Square. In that city, she meets a complete different version of Paul, and finally Marguerite meets his father, Leonid. Unfortunately, the events are unpleasant, and for everybody they end in a very bad way. Especially for Theo.. And..here we go back to Russiaverse..where actually Marguerite has A BABY IN HER BELLY!! She is half disappointed for what she has done for this Marguerite, but also happy because she and Paul have an actual baby! But she is so sad that Paul isn't there with her, he is dead and also the heart of Her Imperial Highness. Fortunately for her, that she knows Theo and she actually has someone near her. She's not lonely anymore. Also, her brother Vladimir is near her. And as the last dimension for this book, i guess it is the Triadverse in which she finds another versions of everybody. Her family is desperate to revive Josie, even if that means to kill all the other dimensions, Paul is sort of part of a gang against them, Theo is with Conley and Wicked is travelling in all other dimensions to kill the other Marguerites. The book ends with our Marguerite hanging, Aunt Susannah screaming "Marguerite, no!" and Marguerite finally realising that Wicked is trying to kill her, starting with Londonverse!

Notă biografică
Claudia Gray is the pseudonym of New Orleans-based writer Amy Vincent, the author of the New York Times bestselling Evernight series. She has worked as a lawyer, a journalist, a disc jockey, and an extremely poor waitress. Her grandparents' copy of Mysteries of the Unexplained is probably the genesis of her fascination with most things mysterious and/or inexplicable.
