Recenzii
Review(s) from previous edition(s)
provides a succinct account of basic endocrine function
The second and third chapters "Genes and Hormones" and "Mechanisms of Hormone Action" are clear and useful guides to understanding the molecular and biochemical bases of hormonal action ... valuable for the medical student.
the expertise of the contributors in their fields is evident throughout; and the approach and level of detail are appropriate in the UK for second-year preclinical students, for those studying endocrine options and for those in clinical years needing to refresh and apply their knowledge of physiology.
Excellent introductory text.
It is a must read for graduate students and fellows.
Excellent text. I would recommend it as required reading for all medical students.
Well written by the best experts in the field.
This text succeeds in providing excellent, very readable coverage of the field of endocrinology. The clearness of writing is commendable. This text can be highly recommended for graduate level courses and for medical students beyond the first year.
In summary, this textbook incorporates modern concepts inan excellent, readable, concise, and comprehensive introduction or review of endocrine physiology.
The coverage, readability, currency, and cost make Griffin and Ojeda's newest edition a best buy for classroom use or overall review purposes.
It remains a solid text book of endocrinology written in a clear, no-nonsense style.
