The 23rd. Day

Autor Markland II, R. E.
en Limba Engleză Paperback
Mark Landre experienced firsthand as a resident of Mt. Vernon Virginia "The Beltway Snipers Murder spree" which took place in the Fall of 2002. The Beltway Snipers murders took place throughout Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C. A fifty mile by fifty mile chunk of ground was terrorized by the random selection process being used by the shooter. The residents of the area were afraid to fuel up their cars, cut the grass, go to the store, even wait for a bus. The Beltway Snipers in their twenty three day crime spree killed or wounded thirteen individuals. There was no obvious selection of victim. The conclusion was that it was a totally random selection. The widespread community was virtually in full panic mode. Mark Landre at the time was not aware that twenty plus years later he and three both new and old friends would discover a similar terrorist plan, but now on steroids. When random "sniper shootings" begin to take place throughout small communities spread across the USA the similarities go undetected by the local law enforcement agencies. One very simple conversation begins a search that ends up identifying the plan. As Mark relays his conversation to a friend the facts involved in the plan begin to be uncovered. Ultimately Mark and three others, who later became know as the "Four Musketeers" identify the details of the plan and discover the similarities to the Beltway Sniper episode that had taken place twenty two years prior. As more and more details are discovered the "Four Musketeer" each with their own specialty put forth the effort to allow law enforcement to become aware of the plan. Will the plan and those involved be identified in time to prevent total chaos?
