Alexios, a young man living with his family in Greece, journeys to Anatolia, Turkey to see the ancient cities of the Classical & Byzantine world. He enters a small village where he stops at a kafenio and meets an old storyteller who warns him not to proceed to a palace nearby. Alexios goes to the palace in spite of the warning and finds himself in a life and death struggle with great evil. The struggle may be an end to his life or it may be beginning of the fulfillment of fortune and glory for the young adventurer. Will he succeed in his quest and return home to his family and the love of his life or will he be destroyed by the evil he has encountered?
