Anthony D. Fredericks, Ed.D. is Professor Emeritus of Education at York College of Pennsylvania. A frequent columnist ("Beyond the Syllabus") for the American Association of Adjunct Education (AAAE) website, he is also a regular blogger for Psychology Today ("Creative Insights"). He is a nationally recognized educator well-known for his practical instructional materials and stimulating conference presentations. In addition, he is an award-winning and best-selling author of more than 170 books, including professional resource books The Adjunct Professor's Complete Guide to Teaching College; Ace Your Teacher Resume, children's books Desert Night, Desert Day; The Tsunami Quilt, and adult-non-fiction In Search of the Old Ones: An Odyssey among Ancient Trees; From Fizzle to Sizzle. His extensive background includes experience as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, adjunct professor, curriculum coordinator, educational consultant, and staff developer. He and his wife live in south-central Pennsylvania.
