Notă biografică

I'm Caz, short for Carole, born in South-Bristol and married to Geoff. I have two grown-up daughters and three grandchildren. I like all types of music, writing, reading, photography, gardening, yoga, and dog walking. My passion for adventure books began when I was just five years old, but I didn't begin writing my own childrens' books until I purchased my first laptop in 2009. I admire greatly the works of Hans Christian Andersen, Charles Dickens and The Brothers Grimm. I worked as an audio-secretary in offices around the Bristol City Centre for many years. The idea for my books came to me during a holiday in Torbay walking our cocker spaniels. A cheeky herring gull with spiky hair glared at me as I walked past. I knew in an instant that a quirky seagull would be my main character in my books. I began writing The Adventures of Eric Seagull that afternoon. My character is named after a flamboyant Professor of Physics who worked with my dearest dad during the 1970s. His messy yellow tufts, bushy grey eyebrows, colourful waistcoat and bow tie matched my seagull's description perfectly. (He asked me to dance once, but I turned him down!)
