Major Hazard Risk Assessment (MHRA) is a process used to evaluate hazards that can cause great harm to mining operation and its workers if they are not adequately controlled. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) evaluated the MHRA process at ten mining operations and discloses its findings and recommendations.
