Notă biografică
Jenny Lewis grew up in Little Clacton, Essex. She moved to London over twenty years ago after acquiring a Fine Art degree from Preston University. Since then she has made her living as an editorial photographer, but alongside this continues to pursue a range of personal work. Much of this centers on her experience of living and working in London. In 2015 she published One Day Young with Hoxton Mini Press, a series that captures mother and child in the first twenty-four hours of life. The project aims to dilute the culture of fear surrounding birth; it’s about empowering women and celebrating this transition. Whether photographing a celebrity, a new mother or the plethora of artists found in this book, her aim and approach is the same: to put the subject at ease and share a little about their world.
