Notă biografică
Kimberly Smedley was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating elementary and later high school, she received her license as a cosmetologist. Her young adult life was spent as a beautician where her main focus was on enhancing the beauty of her clients. Once a fellow-employee advised she save her money and invest it, Kimberly began dabbling in real estate and excelled in the field. Eventually, she expanded into home construction until the housing market crash ended a prosperous run. A trivial conversation that Kimberly engaged in with a salon regular eventually blossomed into a close brother-sister type friendship. He would be the person who would ultimately change her life in ways unimaginable. Through him, Kimberly was introduced to the underground world of silicone injections. Years later, Kimberly's confidant passed away, and she inherited the bulk of his clientele and learned to perfect the skill. After some time, the demand for her services exploded exponentially, those clients giving her the moniker "Miss Kim." Kimberly began transforming the backsides of everyday housewives, blue and white collar workers, celebrities, strippers, transvestites, and even the very rich. This black market secret was well-kept for many years until 2012, when it all came crashing down. Convicted of conspiracy to commit interstate commerce of a mislabeled, misbranded device in 2013. Turning her mistakes into a triumphant story, she intends to share her experiences in hopes of educating the public on self-esteem, self-love, and body image. Kimberly still lives in Atlanta with her three children and wants to pursue her dream of becoming a life coach. Her book, Backside of the Story, is her intimate revelation of events as they occurred, which led up to her very high profile case.
