Recenzii

An account of what chemistry is and what chemists do as opposed to a text of how to do chemistry, this engaging introduction to the field is at its best when speaking historically..Myers does a good job in providing an appropriate, introductory level of detail, choosing to err on the side of clear, general descriptions as opposed to subtle, difficult reasoning..for the beginner, the book will provide insight and motivation for further study. Recommended. General readers.
Recommended as a basic overview for public, school, or undergraduate libraries.
[W]ell written and describes most basics of introductory chemistry..[t]his book would be a good general reference to either the library or a professor's book collection.
The text provides a unique approach to learning introductory level chemistry by imparting key chemistry concepts and principals derived from laboratory experiments, case studies of landmark scientific discoveries, as well as observations of common everyday life experiences. This is a good general level chemisrty textbook for learning or reviewing fundamental chemistry concepts. It highly recommended for all school, public, and academic libraries.
