"The Black Book" contains two novellas by Benjamin Parker - "Leon Prilki", the story of three men whose lives cross over the 20th century, and "Michael, the automaton", about a creature who lives parallel to human civilisation. Weaving in themes of drunkeness, fascism, family and emotional debt, "The Black Book" portrays people lost in the pursuit of humanity.
