A Third World War has befallen us, and a divided United States is powerless to stop it. Chinese armies have landed in Canada and now the Pacific Northwest. Two old friends leave the mostly deserted city of Portland, Oregon, to seek refuge in nearby mountains. What they find there changes their whole lives.
