This series of books is a map of the human body with all of its intricate parts and systems. The body is a magnificent and complex machine. Looking at the lowest level inside a single cell, we see a whirlwind of activity going on twenty-four hours a day. We are completely unaware of the magnitude of this activity because it happens on a scale so small we cannot see it or in most cases we can not feel it. Yet, the human body is so fragile, if it were not for its incredible design, we would not exist Each day we are discovering more about what goes on in our bodies. In volume I, we discuss some of the fascinating aspects of our awesome machine; the manufacturing of energy, how the body sends and receives messages, how the body maintains equilibrium, how the body repairs itself, what happens when the body is under attack from invaders, Epigenetics, DNA, why does cyanide kill so fast, and much more. Other volumes will address specific parts of the body at a micro and macro level.
