Notă biografică
Arthur Meister served four years in the United States Air Force Police, ten years with the Connecticut State Police, and twenty-four years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as an investigative and supervisory special agent.He rose to become Chief of the FBI's National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime (NCAVC), a behavioral crime analysis and threat assessment service available to all law enforcement agencies. He then became Chief of the FBI's Violent Criminal Apprehension Program (ViCAP), a national behavior based computer program for identifying and tracking serial murder. In 2000, as Chief of ViCap, he was selected a ComputerWorld/Smithsonian Laureate for Historic Innovation in Government and Non-profit Organizations.During an assignment to the Management Science Unit at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, he taught college accredited management courses to police managers attending the FBI's National Academy. He was also the Program Manager for mandatory management training of FBI supervisors.In retirement he consults on workplace violence and managing problem employees. He has published numerous articles and editorials on law enforcement matters. Mr. Meister has a Masters of Public Administration from the University of New Haven, Connecticut, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy from the University of Southern California. He is an alumnus of the FBI's Executive Development Institute.
