Instead of investigating nuclear fusion, he planned to perform high energy collision experiments with the aim of discovering new fundamental particles. With only two scientists on his team, Doctor Mark Chambers, a particle physicist and a committed Christian; and Doctor Candice LeBlanc, a power engineer who hates religion of any sort, Dekker must solve the problem he has created.
