Born in Egal Pass, Texas, Azucena Sue Rodgers grew up in an extended family, with lots of cousins and other children, both related and unrelated, who fell under the spell binding magic of her mother, Carolina Barron Saucedo, as she sat on the porch and told the best stories they had ever heard.
