Matt Thomas, an agent for the shadow organization; the Knights of David the King; and army special ops captain Tony Costas have been tasked with what seems impossible. It's neither the idea of time travel nor the infernal machine that has made moving through time possible that threatens their success. They must follow and thwart the plans of its inventor, Dr. Barger, back to ancient Israel, to the land where God became man. Once there, they must find and terminate Dr. Barger and his team before the crazed scientist fulfills his plan: the assassination of Christ and the usurping of his earthly ministry. Nothing less than world history lies in the balance. A terrifying turn of events complicates the mission even more. They learn as they pursue Dr. Barger that he is retracing the ministry path of Jesus and, through modern trickery, recreating his miracles. But to their horror, they also learn that the Christ, the Messiah Himself, is not to be found. In a communiquE with his superiors, Matt learns that they are not at all surprised regarding the absence of Christ. They reveal secret documents stored for centuries in the Vatican archives that allege there is no Christ to be found. Matt discovers that a second team is sent to the past, with the mission of recreating the historical early church, with Rome at its center. Follow Matt and his team who, disguised as a Roman dignitary and his military entourage, work to preserve our history. Only at the end of all reason does he find the answers he so desperately seeks about the Christ.
