If only she had taken any other path except the yellow brick road, maybe it would have been nothing more than a whimsical dream rather than a nightmare Karen, a kindhearted woman, set forth on a journey to find true love. At a crossroad, she encounters the Tin Man. She is instantly captivated by his charm and falls deeply in love. Much to her horror, unlike the beloved character in the Wizard of Oz, this Tin Man truly has no heart nor does he desire to contain one. Hidden behind the appealing, yet false exterior is a Sociopathic/Narcissist. In the aftermath of loving the Tin Man, she searches to find her way beyond the eerie tarnished yellow brick road to once again see the rainbow rising. Karen's document of the Darkside of Oz sounds like a twisted fictitious tale, but as with so many others that have experienced similar horrific encounters such as hers, this story is disturbingly real.
