Descriere
This volume of selected reprinted essays considers two aspects of international humanitarian law. The first is the development of this law, and articles offer an in-depth look at its early roots, the continuing relevance of that body of law despite advances in weapons technology and the efforts to progressively develop it. The second is the fundamental principles which underlie international humanitarian law: humanity and military necessity.
