Lucy, the Devil, wants to retire. After untold centuries of ruling Hell, Lucy looks to escape her responsibilities and enjoy all that life has to offer, including repairing her relationship with her ex-lover, Death. But first, Lucy needs a suitable heir. Her own twin children are either incapable or entirely uninterested in succeeding her, so Lucy is forced to outsource a reliable replacement. Brian Lachey is bored. Being a skilled, albeit underchallenged business advisor leaves him mourning his lost passion for his career and wanting more. His aptitude for his role, however, has put a bad taste in the mouths of his colleagues who are constantly overshadowed by Brian’s accomplishments. When a demonic chain letter circulates through his office, Brian’s jealous co-workers put him in Lucy’s crosshairs. Lucy, however, sees an opportunity, and offers Brian the chance to escape his grisly fate by applying his business prowess to the derelict processes of Hell.
