In a dreamlike, stream-of-consciousness style of storytelling, we follow the many lives - and deaths, why not? - one lives within one's own path toward discovery. Our protagonist both tells his story as well as is the object of the narrator's meandering, erratic prose and fourth-wall-shattering antics. Ultimately, we have The Man (or whichever moniker happens to be his handle at some particular time and place) in the pursuit of two things: himself - that elusive item, one's identity - and The One, the likewise elusive other half. The Man's search for his truth and his truest love will take him down the narrow corridors of madness, where reality seems to bend. His journey through places real and surreal, familiar or fabricated, will only end when he is finally reunited with The One. And he will be. One way or another.
