Notă biografică
Jane Waller was brought up in Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire, before moving to London to do a BA in sculpture and an MA in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art. She lived with her writer husband Michael Vaughan-Rees in Waterloo near the River Thames where she started a successful campaign to "Save the Oxo Tower". Nowadays they live in a cottage in the Chilterns. Her first children's novel 'Below the Green Pond' (Abelard, 1982) was voted among the 'Pick of the Year' by the Federation of Children's Book Clubs. This was followed by 'Saving the Dinosaurs' (Pan Macmillan, 1994) and 'Sludge-Gulpers' (Macmillan, 1997). All three have been republished as books by Glis-Glis Publishing (with 'Sludge-Gulpers' now called 'Under Buckingham Palace'). 'Me Jane' and'Weather or Not' and 'The Egyptian Princess' are now published by AuthorHouse in 2020. Jane has written 19 books on subjects as wide-ranging as ceramics, fashion and social history.
