Continuing his quest for a son, he marries a second wife, but she delivers twin girls. Finally, his third wife delivers the son he has always longed for, Dwight. But with the birth of his son, he discovers why he had so many daughters-and he also learns of a curse that cannot be reversed. The Wise Ones have made a curse that will affect Dwight for the rest of his life. Unlike his father, however, Dwight welcomes it and considers it a gift.
