Innovators speak, write and collaborate in a unique language that emerges from the worlds of R&D, product design, technology transfer, consulting, academia and startup firms. It is a continuously evolving language. This booklet is a glossary of more than 140 terms from the distinctive language of innovation. This evolving language includes terminology from the modes of thought known as analytical, left-brain thinking and exploratory, right-brain thinking. In an innovation project, these modes are complementary. This glossary defines terms from both types of thinking.
