The Farm and the Wanderer is the story of a young cat that awakens in a world of talking mice and rabbits; it tells the tale of Philip, who finds that he has the ability to change the world, whether he wants to or not.

He arrives on a small farm, not knowing who or what he is, but makes friends and finds a family, learning lessons about the world around him. This idyllic life is broken only by the arrival of a mysterious, dark figure, known only as the Wanderer. All too soon, Philip finds that he needs to grow up...
