The FCA was Irelands Territorial Reserve Defence Force from 1946 to 2005 when a new Army Reserve was established. This book looks at the forces development from its inception- lots of photos which will appeal to those interested in uniforms and weapons. The FCA although initially poorly equipped overcame its shortages by applying itself to its training which resulted in high morale. This book is well worth the read into an unusual subject and will give an insight to overseas readers into a little known branch of the Irish Defence Forces.
