They think themselves lucky to find passage on a ship bound for England, but the voyage is made hideous by one of their fellow passengers, who goes out of his way to cause trouble, poisoning the trip with sneers, slights, innuendo and insult to all the other passengers. Thomas Wolsey, Dean of Lincoln and King's Almoner, has a problem; he has lost an ambassador. The ambassador turns up in an unexpected location and dead. Robin and Felicia must find out what is going on, to save Tom Wolsey, and by extension the young king, Henry VIII, from embarrassment. And as Felicia is growing up, she starts to make some personal discoveries as well.
