At twenty years old, Paquito already shoulders the responsibilities of an adult. Of Hispanic and Jewish descendent, the young Quisqueyan has an education and a good job on Staten Island, New York. But Paquito dreams of more. He dreams of being rich, of being able to take care of his mother and live a life of luxury. But business failure, a troubled relationship with an older woman, and a stint in prison threaten to derail Paquito's dreams until he meets a mysterious mentor who will open his eyes to new possibilities.
