The Girl On The Bus

Autor Nick Holland
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 25 oct 2007
This thriller chiller, as if Raymond Chandler had written a horror novel, is the story of an ordinary man thrown against his will into an extraordinary situation. People can take murderous secrets to the grave but when they cry out for justice they speak to John Halle: a man who can see and hear the truth that remains hidden to others. Halle finds himself the pawn in a murderous game being played from both sides of the grave until he finds his own life in the deadliest danger. How far would you go for the one you love? How far would you go for the one that you love even when they were dead? John Halle goes further. 'The Girl On The Bus' is the debut novel of Nick Holland, the Yorkshire writer who has previously written plays and award winning poetry. You can read the first 15 pages of my novel on the preview but please be aware that as the dark and complex novel progresses the bodies mount up and the tension increases. Dare you read 'The Girl On The Bus'?

Notă biografică

Nick Holland was born in Barnsley, UK, in 1971. He first encountered the Brontës when asked to read 'Wuthering Heights' during his first week at University; it was the beginning of a lifelong love for the writing family who have become synonymous with his native Yorkshire. He is now a renowned biographer, whose previous books include 'In Search of Anne Brontë' (2016) and 'Emily Brontë: A Life in 20 Poems' (2017), both published by The History Press, as well as 'Aunt Branwell and the Brontë Legacy' (Pen & Sword, 2018). In 2016 he became the first author to complete a book signing in the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth, and he has since given lectures on the Brontës nationwide.
