The Gizeh Scroll

Autor MR Charles Yockelson
en Limba Engleză Paperback
"The Gizeh Scroll" is a fictional account of the search for an ancient manuscript - indicating that visitors to earth, in the distant past, influenced man's development. Both organized religions and a major atheist organization have their own reasons for wanting to gain control of the manuscript. The former, to keep-safe peoples' belief in the literal story of creation, and the latter, to flaunt what would be catastrophic evidence that the Bible (and religion in general) cannot be taken verbatim. This is a story of love, intrigue, and religious belief. The novel's hero, Philip Gant, an archeologist sent by UNESCO to Libya to help recover and preserve historical artifacts, must deal with the guilty memories of his wife's death, while starting to feel attraction for his coworker, Lisana, a representative of Israel's Culture Ministry. The couple discover clues to the existence of the manuscript and decide to decipher and follow them. As the message of the manuscript becomes clear, and the clues take them to historical Middle East locations, Gant must also question his own religious beliefs about mankind's beginnings.
