From his miraculous birth and becoming mortal to his confrontation with the evil Lord Hades, this novel describes the life of Hercules unlike any other. The adventure begins with a great war of the Gods. In one last hope for the war of the Gods to be over Zeus and Hera give birth to a son named Hercules. They each pour their God-power into their son with hope that he might be powerful enough to end the war of the Gods by conquering Hades and defeating evil forever. But after Hercules drinks from one of Hades' vials he becomes mortal and his life is never the same. Sentenced to live on the mortal world until he can become a true hero, Hercules finds that his mission will be much more difficult than he previously realized. From wrestling lions and chimeras and competing in the Olympic Games, to battling against Hades and his dark forces, Hercules must find another way to become what his parents created him to become or else all of Greece would face terrible ruin. And above all there is a great battle in his heart, a battle for the love of a woman, a mortal woman who can change the course of the war. The God of Olympus has much to rave about.
