When the corporation imploded in the 1980s the Hall of Fame was left to languish for almost two decades until it was rescued by the PGA Tour and transplanted to its World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Florida. Golf courses have gotten their due from list-makers on the golfing merits of the course. You will not find the likes of Niagara-on-the-Lake and Tam O'Shanter and Grande Oaks on those lists.
