The hero of "The Great Tooth Chase" must contend with plenty of problems in his mid-grade life -- Chicken Pox, an overflowing toilet, a bungled job for his grandfather, a dangerous and dirty mutt pulling on his boot laces, and a goofy friend who finds humor in every situation that comes along.
