A new and systematic conception about harmony, offering an easy, methodic and practical approach, for the study of harmonic origin, related to every possible scale in the equal tempered system. Written by Gustavo Casenave, a Steinway Artist and 2012 'Best Contemporary Classical Composition' Latin Grammy Nominee. He is a composer, pianist and educator born in Montevideo, Uruguay, 1971. Since age 7, he was mentored in composition and music theory by Hector Tosar, one of Uruguay's most celebrated composer, music theorist, and disciple of Aaron Copland. Casenave graduated with best honors from Berklee College of Music in 1996, and lives in New York since then. Regularly presents Master Classes and lecture demonstrations at The Juilliard School since 2008, as well as Yale University, Eastman School of Music, Oberlin Conservatory, Columbia University, New York University, University of Florida and University of Uruguay. He is a former Jazz Department Director at the Harbor Conservatory for the Performing Arts in New York City, as well as being one of the most in demand and acclaimed Tango composer, pianist and educator. He actively performs with top award-winning renowned artists in the jazz, tango and classical worlds, in the United States and abroad.
