Recenzii
If you prefer your history to provide new insights into our past as well as raise some of the common themes that challenge us today, then this thoroughly researched and elegantly written biography of Roosevelt's man for all season will be a joy.
David Roll's history puts a man who worked behind the scenes into the full glare of the spotlight and rightly so.
illuminating new biography ... impressive
Roll's book is fresh, extremely well researched and well written. It is difficult to see how anyone who is seriously interested in understanding the wartime alliance and the development of wartime strategy could fail to benefit from it.
