The House of Carte Blanc is a trilogy of darkly comic one-act plays that revolve around the larger-than-life Madam Carte Blanc. In Maids of Honor, two of Madam's servants debate the uses of a some bloody scalp they find in the Fuchsia Bathroom. In Raoul & the Art of Eating Pansies, the aging Madam reminisces about lost loves to her thieving maid while her trowel-handed gardener goes mad. In Carte Blanc we meet a young mail-order-bride, her man-child husband, and their domineering, one-thumbed maid. The House of Carte Blanc includes these three award-winning original plays and a monologue, Erich, by playwright Stella Maria Perry. This special edition also contains Widows Speak, a one-act about a pleasant afternoon of bickering frenemies and vicious water sport.
