Helpless victims of a society in transition are its children. Some are swept up into foster care or as"Wards of the State." Others flee for their own safety, living in bushes, hollow tree stumps or other sheltered spots. All live day-to-day on the edge. All rely on their wits to stay alive. This is a story of a group of these children, and an unlikely rescuer who saves who he can and devises a plan to save them all.
